Job summary

Peraton seeks a seasoned Network and Systems Engineer to support cloud operations and data networks. You will review requirements, perform end-to-end network systems engineering, and identify additional needs to meet mission goals.

The role involves designing and implementing network architectures, integrating new technologies, and guiding hardware selection to ensure scalable, efficient solutions for current and future capacity.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline; five additional years may substitute for degree.
• Experience supporting the customer’s Mission Systems.
• Ability to analyze user requirements, concept of operations docs, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• DoD 8570/8140 certification required, preferably CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions with engineering teams.
• Design, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Guide hardware selection and implement scalable capacity solutions.
• Demonstrate expertise across network hardware and interconnections (routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways).
• Design and implement failover solutions for major customers.
