Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to analyze mission and user requirements, develop system specifications, and lead the design, integration, and implementation of complex IT and mission systems. You will provide technical leadership across the SE lifecycle, ensuring security, compliance, and successful integration into operations.

The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years in DoD/IC environments, and strong architecture and integration skills.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• 8+ years of systems engineering in DoD/IC environments.
• Strong SELC lifecycle, requirements analysis, and architecture design experience.
• Experience producing system requirements, architecture docs, and I&T plans.
• Experience leading technical teams across multiple areas.
• Experience integrating complex systems into operations.
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX, Windows, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience supporting DIA or IC systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and CONOPS to develop system requirements specs.
• Lead system design and development activities.
• Guide requirements formulation and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for integrating requirements and designs.
• Incorporate new plans into existing environments.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation.
• Plan SE management and test documentation (SEMPs, SITPs).
• Interface with government stakeholders on risks and issues.
• Ensure technical integrity of work products within SE scope.
• Report status and recommendations to program personnel and leadership.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for Linux, UNIX, Windows, and cloud platforms.
• Support DoD cybersecurity, engineering, and operational standards.
