Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Systems Engineer 2 to help manage and expand the government-focused infrastructure across multiple environments. The role requires deep experience in systems engineering, requirements management, and interface control, with DoDAF/SOA alignment.

You will engage with cross-functional teams to document, allocate, and verify system requirements and support DoD Certification/Accreditation processes. A TS/SCI with polygraph is required to qualify, and Maryland-based work is expected.

Qualifications

  • 14 years of experience as System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with defined architectures (DoDAF, SOA).
  • Assist with development of system requirements and allocation to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Coordinate resolution of action items from meetings and reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination.
  • Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based on evaluation of development and operational considerations.
  • Develop and review system engineering documentation and interface definitions.
  • Define and manage interface changes and life-cycle configurations across teams.
  • Allocate real-time budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystems.
  • Derive lower-level requirements and ensure traceability, correctness, and verifiability.
  • Develop alternative system concepts, architectures, and design solutions.
  • Gain approval of system/ component definitions including requirements, designs, interfaces, tests.
  • Establish a formal process to control changes to requirements and track open actions.
  • Plan verification efforts early to ensure DoD Compliance.
  • Support DoD Certification/ Accreditation activities and other C&A processes
  • Develop and review Initial Capability Documents, Capabilities Description Documents, IA Strategy
