Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide project and technical leadership across programs in a highly dynamic environment. The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, end-to-end mission integration, and collaboration across systems engineering, architecture, and program management.

Active Top Secret clearance and 10+ years of related experience are required. Positions are onsite at multiple U.S. sites including El Segundo, CA and Seal Beach, CA. Relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance or equivalent recently active (within 24 months).
• 10+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience leading people in a technical environment as a team lead or manager.
• Experience communicating with senior managers, customers, partners, suppliers, and government reps.
• Willingness to relocate to listed locations if not within commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Lead an impactful team across the systems engineering spectrum from design to maintenance.
• Direct architecture requirements and design with a multidisciplinary team.
• Oversee engineering activities to ensure process discipline and compliance with requirements.
• Navigate complex system architecture with multiple stakeholders.
• Promote modern, best practices across programs and product lines for development and integration.
• Identify risk and communicate actionable mitigations to technical teams and leadership.
• Contribute to strategy, roadmaps, and technology plans for end-to-end space missions.
