Job summary

Jobtailor in Maryland seeks an experienced Senior Engineer to lead program execution under the Chief Engineer. You will guide technical work across multiple projects, develop engineering metrics, and support proposals as a technical contributor.

Qualifications

Requires active TS/SCI clearance at time of application.
Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 6+ years; PhD with 4+ years.
Proven ability to tackle open-ended problems in fast-changing environments.
Senior-level proficiency in one or more core engineering disciplines listed in requirements.
Experience creating or updating engineering design artifacts (requirements, interface definitions, diagrams).
Experience with structured decision making including trade studies and risk handling.
Ability to brief customers and stakeholders on technical topics.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Willingness to sit for a Full Scope Polygraph if requested.

Responsibilities

Reports directly to the Chief Engineer.
Act as delegate for Chief Engineer at technical meetings.
Oversee and guide technical execution of multiple projects across all lifecycle phases.
Establish and collect engineering metrics to monitor program health and mission success.
Support proposals as a technical contributor and reviewer.
Collaborate with systems engineering, development, O&M, and management to ensure high-quality program lifecycle execution.
