Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Tactical Recon & Strike division. You will drive the technical direction, ensure robust product design, and guide cross‑functional teams to deliver critical capabilities that empower our mission.

You will work on products like Altius, Anvil, Bolt, and Ghost, applying strong electrical and systems engineering principles, safety‑critical development, and verification strategies in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience 5+ years in defense or safety‑critical industry with safety fault/hazard analysis and verification/validation strategies.
• Proven ability to own tasks and risks from identification through closure.
• Experience writing verifiable system‑level, subsystem, and software/hardware requirements.
• Experience with safety & reliability analyses such as PHAs, SHAs, FME(C)As, or FTAs.
• Experience with systems and Python.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, unit testing, integration testing, and release processes.
• Competent with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers) and test automation.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and eligibility for Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive systems thinking and capabilities for core Anduril products.
• Collaborate with product leads to scope and staff capabilities to meet milestones.
• Drive architectural design for safety, reliability, usability, and upgradability.
• Define risk reduction and verification/validation strategies for systems and subsystems.
• Conduct System Hazard Analyses (SHAs) and FME(C)As to drive safety requirements.
• Coordinate and execute test events from in‑lab simulations to flight tests.
• Interpret defense standards for safety and interoperability (STANAG, MIL‑STD系列).
• Lead cross‑functional teams as a trusted technical partner.
• Ensure requirements align with the capability roadmap and iterate quickly.
• Identify and resolve cross‑team dependencies and inefficiencies.
• Lead complex technical initiatives across multiple programs.
