Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to develop applications that expose the systems framework, linking functions, requirements, variants, software, hardware, and validation into an end-to-end view. You will lead the creation of capabilities that help engineers navigate architecture and assess readiness.

You will build React-based front-ends and Python back-ends, ensure data integration across sources, and implement end-to-end testing with pytest and Playwright.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or related field.
• 5+ years of systems/software engineering experience.
• Experience with Python (Flask preferred).
• Experience with end-to-end web app testing (pytest, Playwright).
• Experience with complex systems, data models, or engineering workflows.
• Strong ability to bridge systems thinking and software implementation.

• Systems Framework Development: Define and model how functions, requirements, variants, and validation artifacts connect.
• Application Development (Full Stack): Build React front-end and Python back-end services.
• Systems Visibility & Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources and provide a unified system view.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Implement end-to-end testing frameworks and quality practices.
• UI/UX: Drive UI design for engineering usability and intuitive workflows.
• Technical Leadership: Lead best practices across modeling, architecture, and testing.
