Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Ohio is seeking a Systems Engineer III to perform requirements engineering, MBSE, and V&V for Air Force survivable airborne operations center programs.

Responsibilities include leading system safety analyses, supporting the Safety IPT, advising other engineers, and communicating program status to customers.

Must have a bachelor's in a related field, 6+ years in systems engineering, aerospace experience, and ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience with aerospace programs.
• Experience applying MIL-STD-882 or ARP4761.
• Experience creating System Safety analyses (FHA/SSA).

Responsibilities

• Support the System Safety IPT for one commercial derivative aircraft program
• Lead the System Safety engineering effort for individual systems
• Advise Engineering on all aspects of System Safety engineering
• Communicate status of the System Safety engineering program to the customer
• Plan and perform qualitative and quantitative System Safety analyses that fulfill customer requirements
