Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Colorado is seeking a Systems Engineer III to tackle advanced tasks in MBSE, requirements engineering, V&V, and system integration. You will lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts, while mentoring junior engineers on multi-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes architecture/design development, lifecycle management, and strong communication to drive successful projects in a dynamic aerospace and defense environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools (DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB).
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Familiar with INCOSE standards (ASEP/CSEP) is a plus.
• Agile methodologies and Scrum Master certification.

Responsibilities

• Handle advanced tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
• Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts.
• Mentor less experienced team members and guide junior engineers.
