Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer III in an environment focused on advanced MBSE, V&V, and systems integration. You will lead system design, architecture development, and risk management while guiding junior engineers in a hybrid work setting with periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.

Responsibilities

• Handle advanced tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
• Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts.
• Work with Radio Frequency Engineers to develop new system architecture concepts
• Lead efforts to perform trade studies, develop presentation material, and clearly communicate results
• Take on significant project responsibilities and guide junior engineers.
• Demonstrate expertise in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively to drive project success.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
