Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) in Denver, CO, seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to lead MBSE efforts across unmanned aircraft systems. You will own system requirements, architecture artifacts, and interface definitions, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, software, and design teams to deliver scalable, field-ready solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace/defense robotics, SysML proficiency, and the ability to influence technical direction across programs.

Qualifications

MBSE methodologies using SysML and digital engineering tools.
Develop and maintain system requirements, interface definitions, verification strategies.
Experience with sUAS, payloads, tactical communications, networking, autonomy, or embedded systems.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical decisions and trades.

Responsibilities

Lead MBSE activities; develop and maintain digital system models and architecture artifacts.
Own system requirements and interface control documents across aircraft, payloads, and ground systems.
Collaborate with Product Mgmt, Go-To-Market, and operations to ensure requirements align with mission needs.
Develop verification plans, ICDs, TRMs, and technical review packages.
Support system integration, lab/flight testing, and customer demonstrations.
Mentor engineers and help scale the Denver engineering hub.
