Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) seeks an experienced electrical leader to drive the design of advanced UAV and robotic electronics within a defense-focused program. You will architect subsystems, set engineering standards, and lead design reviews while mentoring engineers across teams.

This role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration with product, manufacturing, and quality teams, and a proven record of delivering reliable, scalable electronics for high-rate production in ITAR-compliant

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with 7+ years electronics development experience.
Expert-level proficiency with Altium Designer required.
Strong background in analog, digital, power electronics, and embedded hardware design.
Experience leading electrical architecture decisions and design reviews.
Experience supporting high-rate manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across multiple electrical subsystems and product programs.
Architect complex electrical systems and serve as a technical authority.
Define and uphold electrical engineering standards and processes.
Lead critical design reviews and technical decision-making processes.
Drive improvements in reliability, manufacturability, testability, scalability, and production efficiency.
Partner with engineering leadership, product management, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
Mentor engineers across experience levels.
Support supplier engagement and production issue resolution.
Lead root cause investigations for complex system-level failures.
Serve as escalation point for challenging electrical issues.
