Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer-Avionics Analysis to support NASA Space Launch System HWIL labs at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves designing analysis plans, verifying avionics and software through real-time data, and collaborating across multiple engineering teams.

The position requires a broad on-the-ground capability, strong problem solving, and occasional travel within the domestic USA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field is required.
• ABET-accredited degree preferred.
• US Citizenship and STAR ID required.
• Experience with NASA avionics data analysis and HWIL is desirable.
• Proficiency in Python, XML, or C for test case software.

Responsibilities

• Become SME on flight avionics requirements and analyze test data.
• Design and execute analysis plans from HWIL test data.
• Define Detailed Verification Objectives (DVOs).
• Write analysis plans and verification reports.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software, Test, and Electrical teams to verify system capabilities.
