Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support a high-visibility USAF program at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC, or Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on enterprise IT systems, C2 capabilities, and digital infrastructure integration into DoW weapon systems.

Travel up to 25% may be required. Candidates should bring extensive DoD systems engineering experience, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work with senior government personnel

Qualifications

• 18+ years engineering experience, including 5+ years supporting a systems program office; or 10+ years with a master’s degree.
• Experience with software development, integration, or lifecycle management related to system engineering processes.
• Experience with global networking, cloud data center, and network point of presence build-out.
• Familiarity with classified or special access programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication and coordination across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Support USAF programs and program management activities.
• Help develop objectives, roadmaps, schedules, and budgets.
• Assist with design, integration, testing, and technical reviews.
• Prepare SOWs, specifications, briefs, and engineering documents.
• Review vendor proposals within legal guidelines and manage documentation.
