Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat invites experienced engineers to support development, instrumentation, and testing of electrical and electronic shipboard systems and prototypes for submarine programs.

You will resolve issues, analyze designs, and prepare technical work products while coordinating with shipyards, Navy personnel, and suppliers. Travel to remote locations may be required; weekend/backshifts possible in support of project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Masters in Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, Physics, Aeronautical, Systems, Biomedical or Robotics.
• 5+ years of post graduate professional engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test shipboard electrical and electronic systems and prototype systems.
• Perform problem resolution, design error correction, and technical analysis.
• Create and maintain technical work products, test procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate with shipyard, Navy, suppliers, and other engineering organizations.
