Job summary

The position emphasizes test leadership, data evaluation, and cross-functional coordination to deliver validated testing outcomes on time and within safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Minimum of two years of experience with shipboard construction, testing, and/or operation/familiarity with combat and weapons systems.

Responsibilities

• Qualifying as and executing duties of a Shift Test Director IAW NAVSEA 0905-485-6010.
• Conducting hazard analysis briefs to ensure safety of personnel and equipment.
• Ensuring safety and re-entry control procedures are in place and followed.
• Certifying prerequisites are met before tests commence.
• Evaluating data for conformance to test procedures and specs.
• Performing post-testing reviews for completeness and accuracy.
• Conducting effective shift turnover for cross-shift continuity.
• Documenting and troubleshooting test hold ups and non-conformances.
• Interacting with trade personnel, ships management, engineering, and government personnel.
