Job summary

RTX’s Fort Wayne-based Systems Engineering role focuses on secure, cross-domain technologies for mission-critical systems. You will collaborate with SW/HW/Cyber teams to mature security-hardened products from design through test and accreditation.

You will contribute to agile execution plans, manage risks, and participate in product demos and reviews, enabling timely, high-quality deliveries in a defense context.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
• Active U.S. government security clearance required before start date
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
• Experience in Agile or DevOps development environments with integrated teams
• Experience in system design, requirements management, risk management, interfaces, integration and test
• Experience managing multiple concurrent project milestones with overlapping deadlines
• Experience in Systems Engineering process development and deployment
• Experience using Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop Cross Domain Solutions products
• Lead secure systems development lifecycle activities including trade studies, design, requirements allocation and verification
• Develop and implement Agile execution plans aligned to cost, schedule and performance goals
• Manage cost accounts, monitor schedule, track metrics and address issues to maintain program success
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies like sprint reviews, backlog refinement and product demos
