Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Delivery team behind Mailchimp's sending infrastructure. You will design, operate, and scale large-scale AWS-based platforms, including Postfix-based MTA, and CI/CD pipelines, with emphasis on reliability.

This hands-on role focuses on Linux systems, IaC, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and AI-assisted tooling. You'll own operations, monitoring, and incident response, collaborating across global teams while advancing platform

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience with systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on AWS production experience with EC2, autoscaling, networking, and cost-aware operation.
• Experience with IaC and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the AWS cloud infrastructure the platform runs on, managing the sending fleet across AWS environments, including AMI and image build pipelines, instance and capacity management, autoscaling, and running the fleet cost-effectively.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code to provision, configure, and maintain scalable, secure server and network environments.
• Design and manage system architecture across the sending path, including networking, load balancing, and security configuration.
• Design, implement, and maintain the CI/CD pipelines and release automation behind the platform, automating deployment workflows for reliable production releases.
• Configure and maintain containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment, scaling, and orchestration.
• Configure and tune MTA software and host-level parameters to manage throughput and delivery across the fleet.
