Job summary

Intuit seeks a Senior Systems Engineer on the Delivery team to build, operate, and scale Mailchimp sending infrastructure. You will own the health of the sending fleet end to end—from Linux hosts and MTA software to deployment pipelines, autoscaling, and the AWS environments the platform runs on.

You will work with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, with on-call responsibilities and collaboration across global teams to deliver reliable, high-throughput systems.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years engineering experience focused on systems, infra, or platform engineering for large-scale services.
• Strong Linux administration and Unix command-line skills for production fleets.
• Hands-on experience running production workloads on AWS (EC2, AMIs, autoscaling, networking).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with CI/CD and delivery automation (Jenkins), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Able to read and write code; Python and PHP are core; Go/C/C++ a plus.
• Experience with MTA software or equivalent high-throughput servers.
• Knowledge of DNS, networking, and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Experience with relational and in-memory data stores (MySQL, Redis).
• Experience building observability with metrics, dashboards, and alerting (BigQuery/OpenSearch/Splunk).
• Comfortable with Git-based tooling and AI-native workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the AWS cloud infrastructure for the sending platform.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code to provision, configure, and maintain environments.
• Design and manage system architecture across the sending path, including networking and load balancing.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Configure and maintain containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Configure and tune MTA software and host parameters for throughput and delivery.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents.
• Write automation to streamline provisioning and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers; mentor teammates.
• Document systems, runbooks, and operational workflows.
