Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Delivery team to own the health of a high-throughput sending platform. You'll manage AWS infrastructure, MTA tuning, and CI/CD pipelines while evolving automation and AI-enabled tooling.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux skills, 7+ years in infra, and hands-on experience with Postfix/PowerMTA-like systems, containers, and observability. This is an individual contributor role with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience focusing on systems, infra, or platform engineering.
• Strong Linux administration and Unix command-line skills for production fleets.
• Hands-on experience running production workloads on AWS incl. autoscaling, networking, and cost control.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with CI/CD and delivery automation, including pipelines, containers, and orchestration.
• Able to read and write code; Python and PHP are core, Go/C++ or Perl is a plus.
• Experience with MTA software (Postfix, PowerMTA, Momentum) or similar.
• Knowledge of DNS, networking, and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Observability skills with metrics, dashboards, and alerting (BigQuery, OpenSearch, Splunk).
• Comfortable with AI-native tooling and agent-based automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AWS cloud infrastructure for the sending platform.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code to provision scalable environments.
• Design system architecture across the sending path, including networking and load balancing.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines and release automation with Jenkins, Artifactory, RPMs, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Configure and maintain containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment and scaling.
• Tune MTA software and host parameters to manage throughput and delivery.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents affecting fleet health.
• Monitor production systems and own dashboards/alerts (BigQuery, OpenSearch, Splunk).
• Build tooling to automate provisioning and performance tuning, and document workflows.
