Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Systems Engineer in West Palm Beach, FL, to develop propulsion-system requirements using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

The role supports architecture trades, verification planning, and risk management within the Missile Solutions segment. The candidate should have a strong background in systems engineering, MBSE, and requirements management, with a preference for aerospace/defense experience and an active US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior systems engineering experience.
• 4 years of relevant industry experience in systems engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• Active US Secret Security Clearance is required to start.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems, subsystems, and component requirements for rocket propulsion systems’ product development with MBSE tooling.
• Performs functional analysis and coordinates system trade studies to support system architecture decisions.
• Coordinates project risk, opportunities assessment and mitigation planning; may guide a small team.
• Communicates results in oral and written form and participates in meetings to align stakeholders.
• Travel: 10% of time.
