Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Level IV Modeling, Simulation, and Controls Engineer to design, develop, and analyze control systems and simulation architectures for propulsion and aerospace programs. You will build high-fidelity models, develop algorithms, and perform performance assessments across disciplines, contributing to design maturity and program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or related STEM field from an accredited college/university.
• Preferred Master’s degree in related discipline; may substitute one year of experience.
• Experience leading engineering tasks across lifecycle phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity models and control algorithms for propulsion, flight control, and guidance subsystems.
• Support creation of system simulation architectures for design iteration, verification, and validation.
• Perform controllability studies of dynamic systems under perturbations and control strategies.
• Define control system topologies and assist with gain tuning across architectures.
• Support performance engineering through requirements, margin analysis, and trade studies.
• Conduct system-level performance assessments using Monte Carlo, sensitivity, and parametric studies.
• Apply physics-based modeling for mechanical, thermal, and aerodynamic subsystems.
• Contribute to propulsion system modeling and ballistics performance analysis.
• Model actuation systems for propulsion control and integration into closed-loop architectures.
