ACI Worldwide is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support and enhance enterprise payment systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with COBOL, IBM WebSphere, AIX, Linux, and the MTS payments platform, delivering stability and high-quality solutions.

The position is based in Norcross, GA or Omaha, NE, with collaboration across infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure reliability and compliance in a fast-paced payments environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, information systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years in application engineering or software development.
Strong COBOL experience with legacy systems.
Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server.
Solid Linux and AIX experience.
Experience with MTS payments platform or similar.
Scripting skills (Shell, Perl) and job scheduling tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

Support, maintain, and enhance applications running on the MTS payments platform.
Develop and troubleshoot COBOL programs and batch jobs in a high-volume transaction environment.
Manage and deploy applications using IBM WebSphere Application Server.
Perform system administration tasks on AIX and Linux servers related to application support.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure system reliability and compliance.
Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.
Document technical processes, configurations, and procedures.
Assist in planning and executing application upgrades and migrations.
Monitor application performance and implement tuning strategies.
