Job summary

ACI Worldwide is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Norcross, GA or Omaha, NE to support and enhance enterprise payment systems. The role focuses on COBOL development, IBM WebSphere deployment, and administration on AIX/Linux environments within a high-volume MTS platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering or software development.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL and legacy systems.
• Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server.
• Solid understanding of AIX and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with MTS payments platform or similar transaction processing systems.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Perl) and job scheduling tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance applications running on the MTS payments platform.
• Develop and troubleshoot COBOL programs and batch jobs in a high-volume transaction environment.
• Manage and deploy applications using IBM WebSphere Application Server.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Document technical processes, configurations, and procedures.

Position Summary
