Job summary

Serco Inc. is hiring an experienced Systems Engineer to support the DMOC infrastructure for the 705 CTS at Kirtland AFB, NM. This onsite role focuses on operations, incident response, and collaboration with IPTs to sustain mission-critical systems.

You will monitor health checks, perform patching, deployments, troubleshooting, and enable secure, scalable environments with Windows and Linux. A DoD Secret clearance and DoD 8140 IAT Level II+ are required, along with a STEM degree.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM required; 5 years of relevant experience, master’s degree acceptable in lieu of 2 years.
DoD Secret Clearance required; DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CySA+, CISSP) required or within six months.
Experience with packaging, deployment, patch management, OS imaging, and compliance baselines.
Experience with virtualization, VM provisioning, HA/DRS clusters and virtual networking.
Experience with Windows Server environments, AD, DNS, and GPOs; backup and storage solutions.
Knowledge of Windows 11 and RHEL, monitoring tools, and log analysis; strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor and perform health checks of critical network infrastructure and systems.
Perform daily operations support, infrastructure maintenance, system patching, and ticket resolution.
Conduct incident response, troubleshooting, communication, and reporting activities.
Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to review, prioritize, and plan engineering support activities.
Work with program leadership to implement process improvements and system optimizations.
