Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Nuclear Effects Survivability Team within the Environmental Effects Engineering (EEE) organization. You will work across the full product development lifecycle, from requirements and design to verification, test, and deployment, ensuring system robustness for mission-critical defense systems.

Qualifications

• Requires DoD Top Secret clearance eligibility.
• Typically requires a STEM degree with 3–5 years of related experience or a related master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Experience in developing and managing system requirements at multiple levels (system, sub-system, LRUs).
• Experience generating technical documentation (test plans, procedures, reports).

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts of operations, requirements, and system interfaces.
• Create and execute test plans, procedures, integration, and verification docs.
• Integrate hardware and software mitigations for nuclear environments into tactical systems.
• Produce integration documentation and communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Perform data analysis on radiation performance data to verify requirements.
• Present findings and viable solutions to leadership and customers.
• Travel up to 20% to support missions at RTX facilities and customer locations.
