Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS) seeks engineering/technical personnel for DOE projects at Y-12 in Oak Ridge, TN and Pantex in Amarillo, TX. AIS employees operate under Y-12 supervision, with AIS managing pay, benefits and HR.

Required: ABET-accredited engineering degree with 12+ years (BS) or 8+ years with MS; machining experience; ability to obtain DOE Q clearance; willingness to work in a production setting; DOE/NRC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree with 15+ years of experience (BS) or MS with 12+ years of experience
• Machining experience required
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DOE Q clearance

Responsibilities

• Expected work schedule: M-Th 40 hrs/week with potential overtime
• Support new machining center installations and/or existing machining production operations
• Troubleshooting and improvement activities
• Apply system and equipment expertise to resolve issues
• Interface with clients, production and support teams
• Experience in a nuclear regulated environment is desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work in a production environment
• Experience in Integrated Safety Management is a plus
