Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services (AIS) supports DOE missions at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN, and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, TX. We seek Engineering, Professional, Technical and administrative staff for our staff augmentation team.

Responsibilities include supporting machining center installations, configuration management, troubleshooting, and maintenance. A machining background is required; NRC/DOE-regulated environment knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• Requires machining background and related experience.
• ABET-accredited BS with 10+ years or MS with 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support new machining center installations and existing operations through configuration management, documentation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting and improvement activities.
• Interface with various clients, production and support teams, and management.
• Must be willing to work in a production environment.
• Experience in a NRC/DOE regulated environment is desirable.
