Job summary

Actalent seeks a Systems Engineer (Level II or Senior) in Middletown, RI to support complex electromechanical systems across the full lifecycle, from concept through production. You will develop requirements, manage documentation, and participate in major design reviews with cross-functional teams.

Level II requires 2+ years; Sr requires 5+ years of experience. A Secret clearance is required. Hybrid onsite work is available in a flexible program environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or comparable experience.
• 2+ years (Level II) or 5+ years (Sr) systems engineering across the full lifecycle.
• Experience with requirements development, traceability, and V&V.
• Experience with DOORS or DOORS Next Generation for requirements management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with MBSE concepts and Cameo Enterprise Architect.
• Willingness to work onsite with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Support system-level activities across the full lifecycle from concept to production.
• Write and manage requirements, specifications, interfaces, and test plans.
• Develop engineering processes and standards aligned with customer goals.
• Prepare for SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, and TRR design reviews.
• Collaborate with customers to define and manage requirements.
• Identify and solve moderate engineering problems within timelines.
• Apply MBSE to improve traceability and design quality.
• Support architecture development, integration planning, and risk management.
• Maintain requirements traceability and V&V across levels.
• Contribute to configuration and documentation control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate status.
