Job summary
Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the development and implementation of Systems Engineering on submarine, carrier and facility programs. The candidate will contribute to existing programs as well as develop new processes and systems engineering capabilities for future programs.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2 years of relevant exempt experience; a Master's degree with 0 years is also acceptable.

Responsibilities
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability analyses across the system lifecycle.
- Contribute to development and refinement of systems engineering processes, frameworks, and best practices.
- Collaborate with discipline engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Drive MBSE adoption across programs to enhance efficiency and decision making.
