RTX BBN Technologies in Middletown, RI, seeks a capable Physical Systems Engineer to support requirements development, design, fabrication, and evaluation of complex, multi-disciplinary systems. The role emphasizes iterative design, documentation, and collaboration with diverse teams.

The candidate will work on shipboard systems, unmanned platforms, and payloads, with on-site work four days per week and an emphasis on traceability and rigorous analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US government clearance is required.
• Experience in organizing and executing multi-discipline system design and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, decompose, and produce methodologies to satisfy system requirements and objectives.
• Create and analyze designs using tools like Solidworks, Matlab, Simulink, and Ansys.
• Produce technical documentation including specs, drawings, test procedures, and whitepapers.
• Maintain SWaP-C metrics tracking documents.
• Interface with internal and external scientists, engineers, and program management.
