Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide research, design, development, testing, and maintenance for IT/communication infrastructure supporting NATO and partner nations. You will design solutions for interoperability, deliver rapid capability enhancements, and support cyber defense, ITSM, and service requests.

The role requires eight years of specialized experience, a related degree, and DoD/IA certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field closely related to the work (CS, information systems, engineering, physical sciences, or math-intensive).
• Master’s degree with four years of relevant experience; no degree with ten years of directly applicable experience; or an applicable training certificate with two years of undergrad work.

Responsibilities

• Applies subject matter knowledge to high level analysis, design, development, simulation, installation, and implementation.
• Leads major project technical tasks using formal engineering practices and quality control methods.
• Interprets requirements and design specs, analyzes alternatives, creates solutions, and supports integration and testing.
• Exhibits independent judgment in solving highly complex technical problems and may direct technical staff.
