Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to advance enterprise IT operations and support AFATDS hardware, software, and interfaces. The role emphasizes system stability, performance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a defense environment.

You will install and maintain systems, monitor networks, and contribute to design improvements while mentoring artillery operators and supporting simulation exercises.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification required.
• Windows 10 (or later) system administration experience.
• Windows Server 2012 (or later) administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain AFATDS operating systems and tools.
• Initialize, configure, and troubleshoot software interfaces.
• Manage and monitor systems, networks, and infrastructure for performance.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and resilience of IT infrastructure.
• Prepare weekly/bi-weekly technical and operational reports.
• Provide training and mentorship to artillery operators.
• Assist Canadian Army Artillery units in simulations and live-fire exercises.
