Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Wireless Engineer to design, implement, and support wireless networks for a government customer. You will work on DoW-aligned architectures, select hardware, and ensure security compliance, including STIGs.

Collaboration with internal teams and vendors is required. The role requires 8+ years of government network experience, a Secret SSBI clearance with potential TS/SCI, and CCNA or higher certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required.
• 8+ years of military/government network installation and administration (experience may substitute degree).
• Active security clearance: Secret SSBI with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• CCNA minimum; DoD 8570 cert (Security+ CE) required.
• Willing to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain wireless networks per DoW and industry standards.
• Configure wireless controllers and APs; provide L2/L3 guidance.
• Support accreditation, STIG compliance, and security requirements.
• Provide training, documentation, and customer support.
• Perform PMCS and preventive maintenance; assist with field deployments.
