Job summary

Verathon is seeking a Systems Engineer III for its Ultrasound R&D team in Bothell, WA. This role emphasizes translating user needs into robust system requirements, defining architecture, and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout product development.

You will collaborate with clinical, marketing, and engineering teams, drive traceability using established tools, and support risk analyses and verification activities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to translate complex concepts
• Strong collaboration across engineering, clinical, regulatory and business teams
• 5+ years of technical product development and system-level design experience
• Experience with risk analyses and system verification/validation

Responsibilities

• Define and document system requirements and architecture for new product development
• Create system architecture documentation and interface definitions
• Support FMEA and risk assessments with design and marketing teams
• Manage requirements traceability using a tool like JAMA
• Coordinate with clinical/marketing on translating inputs to system requirements
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and leadership on system-level issues
• Support validation and verification strategies and processes
• Serve as primary contact for system-level designs across stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Systems Engineering procedures
