Verathon in Bothell, WA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Urology R&D team. You will design mechanical systems for bladder ultrasound technology, contribute to the BladderScan product line, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

The role emphasizes design verification/validation and manufacturability within Verathon's NPD process. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, SolidWorks experience, and 2+ years of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or relevant engineering field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with medical devices or regulated environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical contributor on major development projects.
• Ensure design activities follow development procedures and design controls.
• Create and release product requirements, design specs, and descriptions per medical standards.
• Interact with stakeholders to design for manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
• Design robust systems considering manufacturing processes and tolerances.
• Perform experiments to evaluate design feasibility and remediation as needed.
• Manage project scope, proposals, and cost justifications for equipment and testing.
• Research emerging technologies to advance medical device design.
