Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corporation seeks a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to decompose requirements, develop architectures, and lead verification across cruise-missile subsystems. The role involves HWIL, flight-test, and risk-management duties within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.

Requires a STEM degree, 8+ years of related experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance; SAP access may be required. The position is based in Roy, UT with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 8+ years of related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of application; ability to obtain SAP approval.
• Experience with MBSE, architecture development, requirements development and allocation.
• Proven track record in risk management for defense acquisitions and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Decompose and allocate system requirements with end-to-end traceability.
• Develop functional architectures and concepts of operations for cruise missiles.
• Lead hardware-in-the-loop and flight-test integration activities.
• Create and manage technical maturation roadmaps for TMRR phase.
• Support proposal activities and act as SE liaison with partners and customers.
