Job summary

You’ll guide architectures for hardware and firmware, while shaping risk assessments and collateral.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead verification planning, and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Domestic and international travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in systems engineering or embedded systems.
• Experience with mechatronic systems.
• Translate stakeholder needs into product requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks in development.
• Experience analyzing test data from electromechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level requirements development across multiple domains.
• Drive trade-offs between marketing, engineering and stakeholders.
• Define hardware/firmware interfaces and system architectures.
• Create and maintain system collateral and risk assessments.
• Support tools and processes for agile, high-velocity development.
• Contribute to system verification and validation strategies.
• Communicate progress, barriers and risks up the chain.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive milestone execution.
• Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems.
• Flow down requirements to ensure regulatory compliance (UL/CE/ANSI).
