Job summary

Captivation is seeking a mid-level systems engineer to support daily responsibilities and contribute to mission-driven defense projects.

You will develop designs for installation of components into chassis, racks, and shelters; plan documentation; evaluate vendors; and prepare hardware acquisition specs.

This on-site role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph, U.S. citizenship, a bachelor’s in engineering, and 10 years’ systems engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters.
• Plan, direct, review, and coordinate the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.
• Prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test reports.
• Prepare functional requirements and specification for hardware acquisitions.
• Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components that satisfies user's requirements.
• Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines.
• Conduct site surveys, assessing and documenting current site network configuration and site-unique requirements.
