Job summary

First Citizens Bank seeks a seasoned Systems Engineer to plan, manage complex projects, and provide advanced production support for the bank's systems infrastructure. The role includes leading technical support, testing software, patches, and upgrades, and guiding less experienced staff.

Responsibilities cover automation, disaster recovery planning, and performance tuning across mainframe and Unix/Linux platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 6+ years in Systems engineering or related
• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years in Systems engineering or related
• Experience supporting banking/financial services environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead technical support and service for installation and testing of software, patches, and upgrades.
• Administer, communicate, and document technical support activities.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup, recovery, and data security processes.
