Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support mission-critical IT programs for the U.S. Coast Guard. This role is based in Alexandria, VA on a hybrid schedule, with travel to remote locations for engineering support and field testing.

You will work with the NSGS team to ensure operational readiness, maintenance, and optimization of complex systems. The ideal candidate holds DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification and has proven experience in federal IT infrastructure, enterprise

Qualifications

Requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification.
Experience as a Senior Systems Engineer on large-scale federal IT infrastructure or military networks.
Willingness to travel to remote sites for hardware integration and testing.
Excellent communication and ability to draft technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Ensure operational readiness, maintenance, and optimization of complex systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering groups and provide hands-on technical solutions at local and remote sites.
Travel to remote locations for assessments, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting.
