Job summary

Anchor Glass Container Corporation seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise infrastructure across corporate and manufacturing locations. You will lead server, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, and network services, driving lifecycle improvements and ensuring availability and recoverability of critical systems.

The role requires 5+ years in server administration and networking, with experience in Windows Server, VMware, Veeam, and hybrid

Qualifications

• Azure experience.
• VMware experience.
• VEEAM experience preferred.
• Endpoint management experience preferred.
• Linux experience preferred.
• Information security experience/exposure preferred.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Microsoft/server/networking certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for complex server, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, and network incidents; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to client questions and resolve issues in person, by phone, or remotely.
• Mentor Help Desk and infrastructure teams; serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Administer endpoint management, security patching, software deployment, and configuration compliance.
• Assist other IT teams with support and project matters.
• Manage Veeam backup services, monitor results, resolve failures, coordinate off-site storage, and validate recovery procedures.
• Analyze system logs and identify potential issues.
• Monitor UPS systems at corporate and plants.
• Create and maintain computer images and deploy to devices using Kace K2000.
• Scoping computer hardware for plant projects.
• Design, administer, monitor, and optimize virtualized server environments.
