Job summary

Anchor Glass Container LLC in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise infrastructure across corporate and plant sites. You will lead server, virtualization, cloud, backup, and network services, drive lifecycle improvements, and ensure availability and recoverability of critical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in server administration and 5+ years in networking.
• Azure and VMware experience required.
• Veeam experience preferred; Linux and security exposure preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; effective communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical training in related fields.
• Microsoft/server/networking certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for server, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, and network incidents; performs root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Responds to client questions and resolves issues in person, by phone, or remotely.
• Guides and mentors Help Desk and infrastructure teams; acts as escalation point for complex issues.
• Administers endpoint management, security patching, software deployment, configuration compliance, and reporting.
• Participates in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure incidents.
• Designs, deploys, and maintains virtualized server environments and failover clustering.
• Monitors backups with Veeam; validates recovery procedures and off-site storage.
