Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a systems engineer specializing in electrical systems for New Glenn launch pad infrastructure. You will own subsystem requirements, drive design and verification decisions, and collaborate with EGSE/DSCE designers across the C3 discipline.

You will coordinate with New Glenn Systems Engineering and Launch Ops Architecture, interface with cross-functional SEs, and contribute to gated reviews throughout the lifecycle. This role emphasizes strong communication and hands-on testing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on systems or design engineering experience focused on electrical systems.
• Experience with continuity system design—routing, sizing, components, testing.
• Hands-on build-up or testing experience.
• Knowledge of at least one additional discipline (controls, software, avionics, fluids, or structures).
• B.S. in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate C3 complexity for stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Experience with requirement management tools (e.g., DOORS/DNG) or willingness to learn.
• Experience with aerospace or industrial safety standards and verification methods.
• U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident (Green Card) or eligible refugee/asylee.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead assessment and definition of electrical subsystem solutions for the next-generation Launch Pad.
• Serve as the SE focal point for one or more C3 subsystems with designers.
• Electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) design and documentation.
• Own verification planning, tracking, and coordination for electrical systems.
• Plan and coordinate subsystem test/activation/commissioning with Operations Team.
• Apply SE expertise to design reviews and verification planning and execution.
• Identify risks related to C3 or cross-discipline integration and flag them.
