Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Ground System Design Engineer III to lead the integration and packaging of structural, mechanical, fluids, and avionics subsystems for ground systems supporting New Glenn. You will define interfaces, manage drawings, and coordinate with flight and ground teams to ensure a cohesive system plan for major design reviews and milestones.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, 3-D CAD proficiency, and the ability to drive configuration control across development

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering and 7+ years in development and packaging of aircraft/spacecraft structures.
• Strong configuration control experience from early trade studies through final design and manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate with multiple teams.
• Proficient in 3-D CAD and visualization tools; strong design and integration skills.
• Experience with scheduling and planning principles; ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Current secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create ground system architectures for the New Glenn Launch System including future variants.
• Create, release, and maintain Interface Control Drawings and Models.
• Interface with flight and ground elements to ensure a complete, balanced system.
• Coordinate regular configuration reviews addressing interfaces, functionality, assembly and operations.
• Communicate and collaborate with all development teams involved in the projects.
