Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC in Lexington Park, MD is seeking a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Senior Systems Engineer to support PMA-251 at NAS Patuxent River. You will coordinate FMS cases with France, Japan, Spain, Canada, and other nations while guiding systems engineering for ALRE products.

The role requires extensive DoD systems experience, active DoD clearance, and periodic overseas travel (1-2 times per quarter). This remote position supports international collaboration and program office activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university.
• ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four years of recent and relevant experience.
• Must have at least ten years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three of which must be directly related to DoD systems.
• Prior involvement and experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs required.
• Understanding of program management, acquisition processes, and international defense cooperation strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
• Lead risk management within the international team and coordinate with project leaders and IPT members to ensure processes are followed.
• Establishes and maintains communication with stakeholders to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
• Respond to engineering taskers as directed by the Program Office leadership.
• Prepares project correspondence such as technical reports and memorandums.
• Serves as PMA-251's Systems Engineering representative and provides technical inputs and prepares reports and trip documentation.
