L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Rochester, NY is seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineering to join a dynamic SI&T team focused on EO/IR solutions for airborne and ground surveillance.

The role involves design, integration, and testing of high-performance electro-optic systems with cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and program management. The position requires a BS with 4+ years of related experience or a MS with 2+ years, or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop system integration concepts & test plan approach.
• Ensure system requirements are met and evaluate performance measures.
• Perform system and subsystem integration, risk assessment, planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses.
• Design, develop, and release custom test equipment (HW and SW).
• Coordinate with Operations for production STE/ATE requirements, automation, and user interface.
• Develop custom test equipment procedures and instructions.
• Manage upgrades to STE for obsolescence / enhancements.
