Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY seeks an experienced Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineering to design, develop, integrate, and test embedded controls for Airborne Imaging systems. You will work in a cross-functional team to develop, test and produce EO/IR solutions, interfacing hardware and software to meet performance and requirement goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience; In lieu of a degree, there are a minimum of 14 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, integrate & test electronic equipment, parts, components, and circuitry for complex, high-performance systems.
• Decompose and allocate system and box-level requirements to electronic specifications.
• Review product specifications, and generate system and module-level diagrams, flow diagrams, and design concepts.
• Design and development of custom production test equipment HW and SW.
• Analyze electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
• Diagnose complex faults in existing systems and recommend design changes to improve performance.
• Work with procurement and suppliers to build prototype wire harnesses & circuit boards.
• Perform unit testing of hardware products.
• Follow internal processes to ensure conformance to established policies and procedures.
