Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and secure enterprise Windows and Linux environments, including VMware and VDI, for DoD-related work. The role requires the candidate to relocate to the Charleston market and operate onsite.

Ideal candidates will have DoD cybersecurity experience, RMF and STIGs knowledge, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems while guiding vulnerability remediation efforts and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• DoD Secret clearance with SSBI/T5 (TS/SCI desired) is preferred.
• DoD 8140/8570 certifications are required to be qualified.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and secure enterprise Windows and Linux systems.
• Maintain and enforce baseline configurations.
• Administer and optimize VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter environments.
• Support VDI infrastructure.
• Endpoint & configuration management.
• Manage Active Directory and GPOs.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
• Serve as SME for ACAS scanning and analysis.
• Lead vulnerability remediation efforts to closure.
• Implement and manage endpoint security solutions.
• Support RMF activities, including control validation and POA&M development.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and Navy cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide lab and production system troubleshooting.
• Participate in technical reviews and engineering boards.
• Produce documentation and share knowledge within a multidisciplinary team.
