Raytheon in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Systems Engineer to perform Systems Engineering activities across key domain areas for multiple defense programs, including Patriot and LTAMDS. You will contribute to architecture, requirements, modeling, and radar-related performance analyses.

The role requires a STEM bachelor’s with 5+ years of relevant experience; MBSE, MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Java or DOORS experience is preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with Missile Defense Systems or other related systems engineering experience.
• Advanced Degree in STEM is preferred.
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience is preferred.
• Experience with system and sub-system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture.
• Experience with system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance.
• Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and evaluation tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance.
• Experience working with MATLAB (including object-oriented programming), Python, C/C++, Java or DOORS.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Experience with risk and opportunity analysis.
• Modeling & Simulation development experience
• Data analysis
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Perform Systems Engineering activities for one or more key technical domains on multiple programs.
• Support programs such as Patriot, AMDC, LTAMDS, and other sensor or effector programs.
• Lead technical solutions to complex user needs and interface with customers.
